Barbara Jean (Murdock) Arnold was born September 8, 1937 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas the daughter of Doyce Butler and Mina Lucille (Breedlove) Murdock. She passed from this life on Thursday, February 1, 2018 in Jenks, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years.
Barbara was a former theater concession stand operator and ticket booth worker. She moved to Jenks from Bowden 12 years ago and was a 2007 graduate of the Jenks Citizens Police Academy and was an honorary member of the Jenks Fraternal Order of Police. Barbara loved taking care of her home and family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Billy Joe Arnold of Jenks; son, John David Arnold and wife, Carolyn of Jenks; adopted daughter, Kathryn Lucille Petty of Duncan; brothers, Kenneth Murdock and wife, Faye of Claremore, John Murdock and wife, Rachael of Shawnee and Wendell Murdock of Choctaw; 5 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by both her parents; sister, Shirley Hall and grandson, Jason.
Viewing for Barbara will be held Monday, February 5th through Friday, February 9th between the hours of 8 am and 8 pm.
A funeral service is scheduled for 12:30 pm, Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Assurance Church located at 6570 W. 176th St. So. in Mounds. Rev. Jarrod Vanderslice will be officiating. Following the service she will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa.
In lieu of flowers Barbara has requested donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.

I'm so sorry for this great loss. I met her at the age of 17 and she and Bill welcomed me into their family with open arms. Her love was never questioned. I will miss you dearly "grandma Bob-wah."
